We made our big foutas a little thicker for this collection, increasing their durability, resistance to outside elements, and even easier to wash and care for. This big coral fouta with its fiery red stripes is woven in a plain weave.It's not just ideal for the beach family and crew hang, but also for park picnics and backyard summer lunches, be it on the table or on the lawn.
Our 100% cotton Red Gold big fouta is handwoven on a manual wooden loom outside the coastal city of Mahdia in Tunisia. This fouta is part of our Cabana Inn collection, a splash into Tunis' hot mediterranean summers.

We recommend washing by hand or machine washing cold on a delicate/no spin cycle to avoid breaking the natural fibers. Use mild, liquid laundry detergent. Do not use softener. Hang to dry. Use a warm iron if desired.

Building beautifully cohesive colorways and collections within the limits of available deadstock fibers is our favorite kind of design puzzle. Sometimes we’ll dream of a design for years before the right deadstock comes into our lives, and sometimes the perfect colors or textures are magically available in the right quantities at the right moment. Our designs are faithful to the traditional fouta’s horizontal line structure–it’s this simplicity, the play between color and dimension, that makes each one beautiful.
