Sensually textured linen makes a dinner table statement in these vibrant waffle weave napkins. An essential tabletop upgrade. If you can bear to part ways with them, they’d make a great gift–equally at home at big dinner parties or dressing a simple Saturday morning breakfast table.
This weave requires a special setup on the pedal loom that few artisans in Tunisia master. We were so impressed when we saw our first tests of this napkin, and after its impeccable performance in use and wash tests, we just had to share it with you.
We recommend washing by hand or machine washing cold on a delicate/no spin cycle to avoid breaking the natural fibers. Use mild, liquid laundry detergent. Do not use softener. Hang to dry. Use a warm iron if desired.

Building beautifully cohesive colorways and collections within the limits of available deadstock fibers is our favorite kind of design puzzle. Sometimes we’ll dream of a design for years before the right deadstock comes into our lives, and sometimes the perfect colors or textures are magically available in the right quantities at the right moment. Our designs are faithful to the traditional fouta’s horizontal line structure–it’s this simplicity, the play between color and dimension, that makes each one beautiful.
