The Fouta
Traditionally used in steam baths (hammams) in the Arab world, the fouta (fu-tah) has crossed borders and transformed into a versatile staple of Mediterranean life: an all-in-one towel, sarong, shawl, skirt, throw.
FH foutas combine beauty and functionality. Some are 100% cotton, others a blend of cotton and linen, all hand-woven in Tunisia, featuring bold designs and colors inspired by Brazil. Lightweight, easy to fold, and durable, they are ideal for everyday use, travel, the pool, or the beach. Give them a shake and the sand disappears, ready for your next destination.
Each fouta is born from the encounter between the loom and the artisan, through a process refined over more than 30 years. The fringe finishing is done by hand by women who carefully braid and tie each piece. The result is a lightweight, durable textile imbued with soul, a symbol of the collaboration between Tunisian tradition and Brazilian creativity.
