BAKLOUTI EXTRA-HOT

DESCRIPTION

This is THE RED fouta. A classic 1×2m fouta hand-loomed in 100% cotton, named after the Tunisian pepper that gives harissa its heat. Textured, tactile, and spicy — the bouclette yarn gives it a rich, slightly heavier hand-feel that you notice the moment you touch it. Finished with hand-knotted red fringe. No print, no pattern. Just the weave, the color, and the heat.

DETAILS

• 100% cotton
• Dimensions: 2 m x 1 m or 6.5 x 3.2 ft
• Weight: 0.5 Ibs

Certified artisanally handwoven in Ksar Hellal, Tunisia, using a plain weave on a traditional manual wooden pedal loom.

CARE

To care for this piece, hand-wash or machine-wash cold on a delicate cycle using mild liquid laundry detergent. Wash separately. Do not use fabric softener. Hang to dry. Finish with a warm iron if desired.

ABOUT YOUR FOUTA

All of our foutas are hand-woven using deadstock cotton and linen yarns that would otherwise end up being discarded. Repurposing natural fiber yarns is the first step in our journey toward sustainability and responsible sourcing.
